The University\u2019s Board of Trustees has committed $5 million in matching funds, available through August 31, 2029, or until all funds are committed.<\/p>\n<h2>How the Match Works<\/h2>\n<p>Gifts and pledges of $25,000 to $500,000 are eligible for the Endowment Matching Gift Program. Matches to gifts of more than $500,000 may be considered by Adelphi\u2019s Board of Trustees on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donors designate 90 percent of their gift to an eligible endowed fund. Adelphi will match it dollar for dollar, doubling its impact.<\/li>\n<li>The remaining 10 percent of the donor\u2019s gift will be designated to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/giving\/adelphi-fund\/\">Adelphi Fund<\/a>, which supports everyone and everything at Adelphi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>For example:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>$100,000 gift<\/li>\n<li>$90,000 endowed gift + $90,000 match = <strong>$180,000 for the endowment<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>$10,000 unmatched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/giving\/adelphi-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/giving\/adelphi-fund\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1791653412353000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2zat2ccMtVPOVLferEXZaC\">Adelphi Fund<\/a> gift<\/li>\n<li><strong>$190,000 total impact<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through the Adelphi Endowment Matching Gift Program, donors can expand the long-term impact of their philanthropy while supporting the students, faculty and programs that define the Adelphi experience.
